About the Job

We are now looking for three social workers for the Adult Unit 1 in Hjällbo.

Two positions are permanent and one is a temporary position until August 2026.

Our tasks involve authority exercise and we are an investigation group working with individuals over 26 years old with harmful use and/or dependence. We work based on SoL and LVM. Our target group is heterogeneous, and many of those we work with have co-occurring disorders and lack stable housing. We assess needs for assistance, grant assistance, and follow up on the assistance provided. We support the client until they achieve independence and no longer require assistance.

The work involves authority exercise with requirements for legal security, a common approach, and equitable assessments. With your knowledge and a good attitude, you will ensure that the individuals we meet receive the help and support they need to live as independently as possible based on their own circumstances.

As a social worker in the unit, you will be part of one of three teams of social workers, each led by a senior social worker. The teams have extensive experience working with the target group and authority exercise. Our working method is characterized by strong collegial support, method development, while we also value our experience. We use standardized investigation methodologies, such as ASI. Our approach in contact with clients is characterized by MI. All social workers are trained in ASI and MI. We work in a learning organization, which means we have regular methods based on cases and themes relevant to our profession. We have great opportunities for further education through the city's various training initiatives. As a social worker, you participate in external process supervision with your group.

We strive to adapt our investigative work based on the individual client's conditions and needs and actively involve the individual in their change process. In our client work, we collaborate with other units within SF Nordost, the Functional Support Administration, the municipality's and Västra Götaland's addiction care, probation services, etc.

We have a reception unit that receives and distributes cases to the investigation units. In addition, we have a unit with various execution resources. The starting point for all of us is the Social Services Act and politically established goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. It is crucial that you are well acquainted with the legislation and other regulations that govern the operation. You understand the importance of a legally secure handling and what it means in practice.

Recent experience in authority exercise with investigations, assessments, and execution of decisions, as well as experience working with individuals with dependency issues, is an advantage.

You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and base your work on the equal value of all, creating a good atmosphere in meetings. You have the ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful working climate.

You are structured and act independently based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. You have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment. You use your time effectively and work systematically, organized, and methodically.
